The Was is Now--Complexities around forgiveness

April 2nd 2019 in the Junction Room of the Holywell Building, 10am start.

This Valued Voices/Towards Understanding and Healing event will feature scenes from 'The was is now', which explores  complexities around forgiveness.

Her:" When we lose someone we love, we should remember that the person has not become nothing. 'Somebody' cannot become 'nothing'. Forgiveness is the one true gift that victims can offer. We destroy its power as a gift by making it a duty. Someone once said to me that not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die. But no one can force me to forgive...does not forgiving make me a bad person?"

Script:  Eddie Kerr
Actors: Bernadette McFarland and Paul O'Doherty
Performance will be followed by community dialogue
A light lunch will be provided.
