CCEA has developed a set of exciting new resources on Active Citizenship

In response to the Northern Ireland Executive’s commitment to tackle paramilitarism, criminality and organised crime, CCEA has developed a set of exciting new resources on Active Citizenship which will support teachers in the delivery of citizenship in schools. These resources deal with issues such as paramilitarism and organised crime.

In addition to the eight units of resources, CCEA has been working with Cinemagic to develop a short film and stage play entitled “A Stone’s Throw” and accompanying teacher resources. These resources use film and drama as a method of exploring the risks and consequences of anti-social behaviour in N. Ireland. The film, play script and all accompanying resources are available for schools and any interested organisations to use for free here: http://ccea.org.uk/curriculum/key_stage_3/areas_learning/learning_life_and_work/local_and_global_citizenship/active
