Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Good Relations section in partnership with Rural Community Network and Northern Ireland Rural Women’s Network invite you to join them for International Women’s Day. A half day conference exploring key influential women in history as well as highlighting what everyday life was like for ordinary women during 1912–1922.

Keynote speakers will be joined by local actors and a local poetry reader. Guest speakers: Dr Alex Tierney, Trinity College, Dublin and Maureen Hetherington, The Junction, Derry~Londonderry

Transport may be available from Omagh to Fermanagh for the event upon request.

Lunch will be provided.

Participants are also invited to attend a fringe event at Enniskillen Castle to view the exhibition ‘Suffragettes, Scholars, Sisters and Spies, the women of Fermanagh 100 years ago.’ This exhibition highlights Fermanagh’s forgotten and famo

us daughters from the early 20th century.
