The Conference will feature the launch of the BME Health Needs Research, the Traveller Needs and Issues research as well as talks about the challenges the BME, LGBT, disability, ex-prisoners and victim communities face when accessing healthcare and much more.

Beyond Tokenism Initiative is a strategic intervention with a strong Black and Minority Ethnic focus along with LGBT, ex-prisoners, victims and disability representation from wider society. The main work focuses on working alongside the Foyle Race Equality Forum (FREF) on delivery of the strategic priorities of the Beyond Tokenism Strategic Report. The initiative is being delivered by a partnership between Lettershandoney & District Development Group and FREF.

The PEACE IV Programme is an EU funded programme designed to support peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the border region. It is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The specific objective for the programme is:
‘The promotion of positive relations characterised by respect and where cultural diversity is celebrated and people can live, learn and socialise together, free from prejudice, hate and intolerance.’
