Lisburn Museum has organised a discussion panel on the role of women in society 100 years after ROPA.
One hundred years ago, votes for women was for many the pana-cea for social imbalance, for some it was recognised as the begin-ning rather than the end of an equality journey whilst for others it was regarded with suspicion.
Did the vote redress equality issues? Does being able to vote mean women now have equality in business, work, home and politics?
Is the granting of the vote relevant today?

Participants: Dr Margaret Ward (QUB), Dr Evelyn Collins CBE (CEO Equality Commission) Ms Sandra Corkin (Managing Director OASIS Travel NI) and Ms Deirdre McBride (Formerly CRC)
