The documentary film, A Quiet Love, will be screening in a select number of cinemas from Friday 6 February 2026.
The film features the remarkable love stories of 3 Deaf couples – including a Catholic and Protestant couple whose love story blossomed against the backdrop of the Troubles.
A Quiet Love features the remarkable love stories of three Deaf couples: a Deaf boxer and his hearing partner facing a life-altering choice; a same-sex couple navigating parenthood with Deaf and hearing children; and a decades-long, once-forbidden romance – highlighting the unique experience of the Northern Ireland Deaf community during the Troubles. Together, these stories highlight the lived experience of the Deaf community against a backdrop of social division and change.
