The Youth Initiatives’ youth community hub in Derry~Londonderry recently held their annual Artbridge Showcase to present art and designs made by young people throughout the year.
The Community Relations Council supports Youth Initiatives through its Core Funding Scheme. The showcase was funded by TEO Central Good Relations Fund.
The Foyle Artbridge ACCESS ALL AREAS project brought young people together from the city, enabling them to feel confident exploring otherwise 'off limits' areas of the city while expressing this experience through art. Through building relationships with young people from a different community, they were able to safely explore new cultures and break down divides to ‘reclaim’ the city centre as a shared space they can all feel welcome in.
