Unheard Voices Testimony event with Hazel Deeney,  October 3rd 2017

Local woman Hazel Deeney was with her husband Trevor when he was shot dead on 8th April 1998 by the INLA in the driveway of their home at Kilfennan (Derry-Londonderry). Trevor was buried on the day the Good Friday Agreement was signed.

Hazel was left to raise four children on her own who were then ranging in age from 6 to 12. Trevor was the last person killed before the Good Friday Agreement was arrived at and was buried on the day the Agreement was signed.  

Hazel has recently become a member of the Victims and Survivors Forum. She will share her story during a lunchtime Testimony event at Holywell DiverseCity Community Partnership from 12.30 pm till 2pm on October 3rd 2017.

There will be a light lunch available.
