T:BUC Engagement Forum 2019

People in the presentation hall at the T:BUC event | CRC NI

A hundred and fifty people were in attendance at the sold out event in Belfast City Hall. And over 50 people had never been to a TBUC Engagement Forum before.

The celebration event showcased the diversity of projects and activities undertaken across Northern Ireland to help build united communities. Attendees had gathered under the theme: “People making change for peace.”

The Executive Office reported on progress regarding the implementation of T:BUC and also outlined how TEO and the Community Relations Council contributed to its delivery at local level.

Unique Carousel Structure

The Engagement Forum used, for the first time, a unique carousel structure. The presentation hall was divided into 7 dedicated presentation zones, and participants moved in groups through each. This allowed for people to engage with presenters in a more intimate and dynamic way. Each session allowed for follow-up questions.

Finally, at the end of the event, our rapporteurs collected feedback from each presentation zone and delivered it back to the collected attendees during the event wrap-up.

Here are some of the comments from attendees:

The engaging presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the different strands of T:BUC.”

The presentations were an excellent format idea.”

Really enjoyed the format of today.”

Great to see young people represented.”

Enjoyable and thought provoking.”
