Northern Visions/NVTV are interested in community relations news stories

Please feel free to contact Northern Visions with community relations’ news items over the coming months or suggestions for studio discussions.

They are also organising a series of discussions exploring the theme of cooperation and would be delighted if you would like to be involved, for example:

  • How the establishment of cross-border institutions under the Good Friday Agreement has led to increased cross-border economic and political co-operation.
  • The dynamism created by economic cross-border initiatives in the early 1990s and subsequent austerity and how that has impacted on community relations.
  • The role of the European Union.
  • Brexit and implications for community relations, social inclusion and on young people/next generation.
  • Multi-pronged approaches to cooperation including the tackling of urban and rural deprivation, developing common approaches to socially divisive issues; incentives for change in attitudes, the impact of peace plans and ideas going forward to facilitate meaningful engagements between local communities, government departments and statutory bodies.
  • How cooperation helps to create change.
