The Joint Forum is seeking new voluntary and community sector reps for a three-year term

Nominations close on Friday 7th April.

The Joint Forum is comprised of voluntary and community sector and public sector reps. The forum provides a mechanism to facilitate open discussion of key issues which shape the relationship between the two sectors, influence and examine the impact of public policy and to support opportunities for greater co-operation and joined up activity to better serve the people of Northern Ireland. The Forum is based on the Concordat agreement between government and the voluntary and community sector. NICVA provides the secretariat for the voluntary and community sector group, and the Department for Communities provides the secretariat for the public sector group.  The commitment is six meetings a year and it is a three year term.

Nomination papers, the terms of reference and the selection criteria are available on the NICVA website.

NICVA believe it is vitally important for a faith voice to be represented on the forum, especially given the excellent work that has been started with the Community Faiths Forum, and would be delighted to receive nominations from membership.
