Falls Community Council, a CRC core-funded group, held a lunchtime discussion on bonfires at the Duncairn Centre. There was a presentation of the ARK research on bonfires, flags, identity and cultural traditions followed by responses from community leaders focusing on bonfires and then discussion. Speakers included Gillian Robinson (Ulster University), Paula Devine (Queen’s University Belfast), Winston Irvine (Intercomm), Karol McKee (Falls Community Council), and Gareth Beacom (Charter NI).
