Border Sounds project | the Nerve Centre and Rural Community Network

Woman using virtual reality | NICRC

Border Sounds is an exciting new project for young people being delivered by The Nerve Centre and Rural Community Network (RCN), both of which are core funded by the Community Relations Council.

Are you aged 18+ and live near or on the Northern Ireland border?

Join Making the Future (the Nerve Centre) and RCN for a free virtual programme which includes creative Zoom workshops with story mapping, virtual reality and photography. This is an opportunity to share your stories of the border.

The programme starts on 13 April 2021 and runs twice weekly from 7—8.30 PM for three weeks.

Dr Laura Aguiar, Community Engagement Officer and Creative Producer, said: "We are thrilled to work with RCN to bring this fantastic opportunity to rural communities living on or near the border. We hope to inspire people to share their stories of everyday life on both sides of the border and help them learn or enhance their skills in creative writing and storytelling. Their stories will be featured in an exciting virtual reality film that we are producing about the border."
