Art, Film & Transformation at the Belfast Interfaces

Please join us for a showing of recent films from artist Raymond Watson & filmmaker Brendan McCourt about the peacewalls, with short talks by Raymond, Brendan, and Belfast Interface Project, a discussion, and a chance to try out the Virtual Reality headsets which allow you to imagine a world without walls.

Grappling Hook is a film by artist Raymond Watson in which he uses a grappling hook, made illicitly in Long Kesh, to scale a peace wall;

McCourt worked with Belfast Interface Project to create the VR interactive experience "Reality Changes Perception", working with BIP, which aims to encourage new debate about Belfast's peace walls.

Carnegie Oldpark is a -- glorious -- dilapidated former library on Oldpark Road -- which is being renovated as a community regeneration project but is currently in a state of disrepair. We regret there is no wheelchair access. Rudimentary tea and coffee will be provided, and there will be functioning toilets and running water.
