Sole Purpose Productions is a multi-award-winning theatre company which was set up in 1997. Now that they’ve entered their 25th year, they’ve created a documentary to explore their amazing contribution to the arts and peacebuilding in Northern Ireland over that time.
The documentary contains insightful archive footage, photographs and stories from the throughout the 25 years of the company’s existence. The resource also highlights the positive impact they have had, as well as how the performing arts is a powerful tool that connects people and facilitates peacebuilding.
Over the years, the Community Relations Council has supported various Sole Purpose productions through the CR/CD Small Grants Scheme.
Sole Purpose Productions was created to use the discourse of imagination to investigate and illuminate social and public issues. They produce new dynamic theatre that contributes to social change, explores the dynamics of human relationships and promotes good relations.
