Early years – The Organisation for young children are inviting those who have implemented the “Media Initiative for Children – Respecting Difference Programme” to think creatively about the theme for this year’s Good Relations Week "Brighter Days Ahead.”
Children have been invited to participate and engage in Good Relations Week 2021 by submitting art, music, photography, poems and more to encompass the theme of Brighter Days Ahead.
There will be a focus on the process involved in these creative pieces rather than the end product.
The role of the adult will be to encourage and support children’s creative processes, capturing the voice of the child from the very beginning of the process.
Where children are allowed to express themselves freely, they get to feel a sense of ownership and pride in their original creations.
The value should be in the free exploration, creative process, and the hands-on experience.
All submissions will be presented during GR week on behalf of Early Years. Submissions are welcomed from individuals or groups. Deadline: 13 August 2021.
