The Lifelong Learning team are running an evening event with Dame Mary Peters, facilitated by Peter Weil.
The event will celebrate the remarkable work of the Mary Peters Trust which encourages young people to realise their sporting dreams. Mary will talk about her role in putting sport firmly on the educational map.
Mary will also talk about her background, her training as a teacher and her experience of the classroom as well as revealing who motivated, encouraged and coached her at the start of her career.
There will also be a discussion about Lady Mary Peters’ support for young people with disabilities who are determined to excel in their chosen sport.
