The Community Relations Council (CRC) is hosting the Making A Difference 2026 conference, entitled Building Belonging.
This one-day, interactive conference is for Community Relations Council Core-funded Groups, Strategic Stakeholders and Policy Makers.
It takes place on 21 September 2026, the International Say of Peace.
The conference will provide an open space, offering delegates the opportunity to pause, listen and reflect about the current state of peacebuilding. It will also include an opportunity to delve into peacebuilding practice, highlighting the work delivered by CRC’s Core Funded groups during the 2025-2026 period, and importantly, it’s impact.
Finally, the day will connect delegates to collaborative Learning Labs, concluding with a critical discourse about the future direction of peacebuilding.
This is an invite-only event for those working directly within Northern Ireland’s community relations and peacebuilding sector.
Learning labs
Experiential Learning Labs, led by CRC core – group practitioners, will provide opportunities to experience focused peacebuilding interventions. These sessions will deliver an activity that moves beyond theory, allowing delegates to immerse themselves in an intervention that challenges, probes and develops knowledge of peacebuilding practices.
Two Learning Labs sessions will be offered. Please select two session preferences when booking your place on Eventbrite.
- Building Community Resilience – Developing community capacity and trauma informed approaches
- Future Voices – Youth, Identity and the Future of Peacebuilding
- Inclusive Peace – Creating inclusive communities in a changing society
