The Community Relations Council (CRC) has made its stance clear on the recent disorder seen in our communities. We’d like to point you to help and advice that is currently available for those affected by this public disorder:
- NI Direct provides comprehensive information on how to report a crime, housing, schools, benefits and financial support.
- The Housing Executive’s Hate Incident Practical Action (HIPA) Scheme supports victims of hate incidents in their home and can provide personal and home protection measures if the home has been damaged.
- The Police Service has provided information on how to report a crime and keep safe.
- The Hate Crime Advocacy Service (HCAS) offers support to victims of hate and signal crimes across the different protected characteristics.
- The Education Authority has key resources and practical information for schools, parents/carers and staff.
CRC is currently investing in the people, projects and partnerships that bring communities together through programmes such as the Core Funding Scheme, Community Relations and Cultural Diversity Small Grants Scheme, Good Relations Week, and Good Relations Awards. We fully support organisations that challenge division and build good relations throughout the region.
