Outpouring is an immersive installation project from Joe Caslin and Nerve Centre, co-created with young people from across Belfast.
The Community Relations Council supports the organisation through its Core Funding Scheme.
This free-to-visit installation will run for five weeks at Riddel’s Warehouse, which is a unique heritage space in the heart of Belfast city.
At its core, Outpouring features a new street art piece designed by Joe Caslin in response to issues raised by young people through a three-month engagement programme. Surrounding the artwork will be a collection of visual and written works created by the participants themselves.
A specially developed augmented reality app will guide visitors through the experience as the artwork comes to life. A virtual character, curated films and participant voices combine to encourage deeper understanding and engagement.
Complementing the installation is an archive cinema space featuring content from the Northern Ireland Now project, presented in partnership with Northern Ireland Screen.
Outpouring opens to the public on Saturday 30 May until Sunday 5 July.
