30th Anniversary Event for Srebrenica in Belfast

In 1995, 8,372 Muslim men and boys were killed in the space of weeks during the Bosnian War.  The United Nations deemed it genocide and many people have been found guilty of genocide at Srebrenica by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia at the Hague.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of this genocide a special memorial event will be held, organised by Remembering Srebrenica.

It will take place 6-7 PM at Belfast City Hall on Wednesday 25 June 2025.

The event will have speeches and contributions from senior figures and will include powerful inter faith reflections.
