Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council in partnership with local award-winning theatre company c21 are collaborating with interested parties willing to share their stories for a unique project.
NI Centenary – Looking Back / Stepping Forward with Our Seniors Project will celebrate older people and capture their untold stories in oral recordings for dramatic interpretation.
Have you or your group got a story from the past 100 years worthy of sharing with your wider council community? Help the project celebrate your identity and that of your forefather’s stories from the community and characters past and present.
This project will run from August 2021 to March 2022 and include a short series of workshops in local settings. The resulting content will capture a rich archive of community heritage unique to the Borough and to Northern Ireland, that will benefit future generations and help improve society today.
The archive will be presented in an online or public theatrical performance within the council area.
