Aims and Objectives

To demonstrate at national and international levels the experiences, culture, creativity, skills and potential of West Belfast and its people.
To further develop social inclusion and cultural diversity by providing opportunities for the expression of Irish culture in all its forms, promoting inter-change with other cultures and communities and encouraging both traditional and modern forms of artistic expression.
To provide a year round diverse range of opportunities for community participation and the expression of self esteem and identity through arts, culture, Irish language, sporting, environmental, educational, discussion.

Projects and Activities

A two-week children's festival Draíocht which has a programme of outreach in schools
Féile FM, which broadcasts twice a year for 28 days at a time Feb/March, July/August
A disability development programme Oscailt
A 10-day August Festival, plus other events throughout the year
They also provide a year round programme of events training eg. social skills, youth training, creative arts, first aid, events management, child protection, OCN accredited Radio Skills (three young people who took part in the pilot programme have gained employment in BBC, UTV) for approximately 200 people throughout the year
They link extensively with schools and colleges and provide invaluable work experience opportunities in the area
