YARD's overall aim is to contribute to the development of a more inclusive and intercultural society in Ireland. It seeks to challenge discrimination based on religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and membership of the Travelling Community by exploring the local and global dimensions of this issue. It views the non-formal youth sector as an ideal setting for anti-racist development education and for the social integration of young people from minority groups.
