The group works with 16 - 25 year old unemployed young people and use ICT as a tool to encourage these young people to improve their personal development skills as follows:
To provide opportunities which engage marginalised/disaffected young people from the local community; To accelerate young people's personal and social development though the enjoyable use of ICT by providing stimulating project work; To set goals with young people and regularly assess these; To assist young people to move into recognised training, further education or employment; To effectively monitor the work of the project by continual evaluation.
Projects and Activities
There are 10 ICT drop-in centres:- Rathcoole, Bawnmore, New Lodge, Short Strand, Tullycarnet, Ballybeen, Woodvale, Upper Springfield and Poleglass plus one centre in Derry.
Projects include: Newsletters Websites Health Projects The group also delivers single identity and cross-community projects across the 10 Byte centres.
