Aims and Objectives

1. The WEA will lobby for recognition of the value of adult learning

2. The WEA will continue to provide high quality adult learning that is responsive to learner and societal needs

3. The WEA will ensure that the organisation is fit for purpose

Projects and Activities

At any one time the WEA has a number of education projects running, current projects include:

• Man Matters  - a project designed to attract men with low educational attainment back into learning
• Learner Access and Engagement  - a partnership project run with 3 of local FE colleges designed to help people get back in to learning
• Learning Age Project – a project working with older people
• Various Good Relations projects funded under Peace III
• Creative Industries projects
• A responsive curriculum of courses and products for sale
