Aims and Objectives

Community Relations Programme - This project aims to provide a focused community relations programme that will complement the existing services of Opportunity Youth - young people undergoing job skills training in the Greater Belfast area.

This programme is also designed as a training package for all Opportunity Youth staff offering them the opportunity to explore their effectiveness within a cross-community context and identify barriers that may impede their work.

Projects and Activities

The activities of the community relations programme include:

Accredited training for trainees across Belfast;
Training for employees;
Training for Tutors in Training Organisations.

Other activities will include:

Cross-community residentials;
Cultural and education field trips
Drama and media, DJ workshops
