Aims and Objectives

  1. Act as an outreach centre for the Community Relations Council
  2. Support practitioners in the field of peace building
  3. Provide an overview of community relations work in the North West
  4. Enable practitioners to have access to information and resources on community relations
  5. Provide a safe space for a wide range of organizations to use for training, seminars and workshops
  6. Provide human resources by way of advice, support and training
  7. Develop an outreach programme which can link with other organizations and groups involved in peace building/education.
  8. Provide a broader definition of community relations work
  9. Provide an international dimension that can inform practice at the local level.
  10. Provide information on equality and human rights.

Projects and Activities

·        Manage and oversee Ethical and Shared Remembering Project (as Director of Junction)

·        Manage and oversee Towards Understanding and Healing Programme of work (as Chair of TUH)

·        Local, regional and national Good Relations/Community Relations Training – Councils

·        Progress Walled City Community Partnership in collaboration with other organisations

·        Running the Centre, providing resources for peace building and a safe space for dialogue

·        Abrahamic Project – exploring Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

·        Supporting the North West Interfaith Dialogue Group
