T:BUC Engagement Forum – How the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals can help Good Relations

The Executive Office and Community Relations Council are organising a face to face T:BUC Engagement Forum, also with an option to participate online.

The Engagement Forum is taking place as part of Good Relations Week and will focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the work that many peacebuilders are doing to help address pressing environmental concerns.

The keynote speaker is David Donoghue. David is the co-author of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Also joining him will be speakers offering a local Northern Ireland perspective on the environment and community examples of sustainable development in action.

Hybrid event

This Engagement Forum will be a hybrid event, with both online and face to face participation. Attendees have the option to join online or be present in the room.

Event details

This Engagement Forum will provide participants with:

  1. The opportunity to learn more about United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and how they are being delivered across Northern Ireland.
  2. An understanding of examples of good practise being delivering by the community, demonstrating the positive impact they have on society and how it relates to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  3. The opportunity to understand the issues and challenges for good relations and diversity of work in the delivery of T:BUC.

 

Attend the event

The Engagement Forum takes place on Tuesday 20 September at 10 AM.

Attendees who register for online participation will receive joining details to the online zoom event 48 hours, 2 hours and then 10 minutes before the start. For attendees attending the venue, registration and refreshments are available from 9.30 AM for a 10 AM start.

The Community Relations Council will record the speakers’ presentations and may screenshot the event and take photographs for publicity purposes.
