The Community Relations Council welcomes the publication today by the Executive of the Draft Programme for Government.
In welcoming the draft PfG CRC Chair, Tony McCusker, said:
“CRC is pleased that building better relations between communities is recognised as a top priority for the Executive. We also welcome the commitment to finalising the Cohesion, Sharing and Integration Strategy though are disappointed that it is further delayed.
Mr McCusker added "we are particularly pleased that shared education and removing the barriers to division are both placed at the centre of the new programme."
In closing Mr McCusker gave a commitment that CRC will work positively with the Executive to help bring about the changes necessary.
