Following the sell-out successes of Chronicles of Long Kesh and Over the Bridge, Green Shoot Productions presents its new play Brothers in Arms.

From the pen of former republican prisoner and bestselling novelist Sam Millar, and directed by Martin Lynch, this exciting new work tells the story of two brothers - one a dissident republican, the other a Sinn Fein MLA - who come together to bury their father. Despite their mother's pleas to let theirfather rest in peace, old resentments and terrible secrets rise to the surface in this portrayal of a family torn apart by political differences. With one section of republicans at the heart of the Stormont government and another section planting bombs and shooting policemen, Brothers in Arms asks what this split means, not only to the family, but the future of our entire community. Drawing on the playwright's own experiences in prison during the blanket protests, Brothers in Arms is an explosive look at the history of the republican movement and the challenges it currently faces.
