Community Relations Week 2007

30 April- 6 May

Community Relations Week has been a regular feature in the Northern Ireland calendar since 2003. This year the theme is ‘Transformation to a Shared Society’.

As in previous years voluntary, community and public sector organisations are invited to plan events to take place during the week in order to highlight positive and practical activities that are being taken to address sectarian and racial division. Last year there were 150 events in the programme. These ranged from public discussion and debate to cultural events, publication launches and award ceremonies. Both public agencies and civic society have an important role to play in building better relationships as the foundation of a shared future.

Organisations planning to hold events during Community Relations Week should send contact details to rmullan@nicrc.org.uk  A programme listing known events will be posted on the CRC website as the Week approaches.
