“The United States and Northern Ireland: A Transatlantic Perspective on Problems and Solutions”

On 16/17 September 2011, The Clinton Institute for American Studies, University College Dublin, will host a colloquium on “The United States and Northern Ireland: A Transatlantic Perspective on Problems and Solutions”.

The colloquium will be opened at 7:00 pm on 16 September by Ms. Lucinda Creighton, TD, Minister for State at the Departments of An Taoiseach and Foreign Affairs and will continue throughout the following day, Saturday, 17 September.  Other speakers will include Paul Arthur (UU), Lord Bew (QUB), Catherine Shannon (U Mass), Bob Brigham (Vassar), Monica McWilliams (NICRB), John Coakley (UCD), Sean OhUiginn (formerly of the DFA), Michael Breen (UL), Mark Bradley (U of Chicago), John Dumbrell (Durham), Niall O’Dowd (Irish Voice), Conor O’Clery, and Dr. John Connerton, CBE   

 A more detailed schedule, including confirmation of the venue, will be circulated within the next two weeks.
