Loughshore Rural Youth Together

24 August 2011

This summer extravaganza event will be the first of its kind to bring together over 200 children and young people from the Craigavon Loughshore Rural Area to participate in a range of educational and fun activities on 31 August at the Tartaraghan Sports Hall, Co Armagh.

Activities will include: obstacle courses, human table football, parball, intercultural sessions, Hip Hop, Street Dance and much more.  The event is designed to create a safe and fun environment to increase young people’s awareness of equity, diversity and acceptance of others which will lead to the building of good and positive relations with a view to developing long-term links and friendships. The extravaganza supported by the European Union’s Peace III programme, Unite against Hate, IFI - Good Relations Programme, Craigavon Borough Council and SELB is organised by a partnership which includes: South Lough Neagh Regeneration Association, SELB Craigavon Loughshore Youth Initiative, four Craigavon Loughshore Youth Clubs, TADA, Craigavon Intercultural Programme and the Rural Enabler Programme. For more details please contact South Lough Neagh Regeneration Association at slnra@btconnect.com or by telephone on 028 3885 2550.
