Consultation on a New Community Safety Strategy for NI

Following the devolution of policing and justice powers to the Northern Ireland Assembly, Justice Minister David Ford announced his intention to lead a debate on a new Community Safety Strategy for Northern Ireland, to contribute to creating a safer Northern Ireland.

This consultation seeks views on a new Community Safety Strategy for Northern Ireland from 2011-2015. The consultation sets out proposals to create safer, shared and confident communities and contribute to the Department of Justice's wider vision of a fair, just and safer Northern Ireland.
