Intercultural Dialogue and Networking Event

24 February 2011

This event will be a half-day event on Saturday 26th February 2011, from 12noon to 4pm. The event will be held at the Tower Hotel in Londonderry/ Derry. See their website: http://www.towerhotelderry.com/ for more information.

ACSONI has arranged a bus to take people to the event from Belfast and back again.

The bus will leave Belfast City Hall (outside Ten Square on Donegal Square South) at 9am and will leave L’Derry at 6pm.  It will take approximately two and a half hours to travel from Belfast to L’Derry.

There are 20 spaces available on the bus so it’s essential to register your place if you would like to go on it.

For people who would like to go by bus, there will be a small donation of £5 for paid ACSONI Members and £7.50 for non-paid ACSONI Members.  There are some places on the bus available free of charge.  Please contact myself or Alfred Abolarin (ACSONI Programme Manager) at the ACSONI Office if you are unable to pay but would like to attend.

Anybody who prefers to drive or who lives closer to L’Derry is more than welcome to make their own way there.

What’s it about?

Speakers will give expert presentations on two themes during the seminar:

·        Human Rights Approach to Development (Mbemba Jabbi – Development Education Expert from the Africa Centre in Dublin)

·        Peace and Conflict Resolution (Elly Odhiambo – Peace and Conflict Resolution Consultant)

Other Details

A finger-buffet lunch will be provided at the event.

IT IS ESSENTIAL TO REGISTER FOR A PLACE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THIS EVENT AS WE WILL NEED TO CONFIRM DETAILS WITH THE CATERERS IN L’DERRY!

Please do not hesitate to contact the ACSONI Office if you would like any more information about this event.

We hope to see you there!

Kind regards,

Catherine Parkes
