The Community Relations Council wishes to commission a series of short films (4-5 minutes duration) shot on digital video format (DigiBeta, DV Cam) focussing on the daily life of a variety of primary school age children from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds who are now living in Northern Ireland. Each film will cover the same events in each child’s life, overall detailing both similarities and differences. The series should consist of at least 10 films.

The Community Relations Council wishes to commission a series of short films (4-5 minutes duration)  shot on digital video format (DigiBeta, DV Cam) focussing on the daily life of a variety of primary school age children from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds who are now living in Northern Ireland. Each film will cover the same events in each child's life, overall detailing both similarities and differences. The series should consist of at least 10 films.  

The daily events to be included in each film and the list of groups from whom the children should be selected will be subject to agreement between the commissioned company and the Community Relations Council.  

The series will be put on C2K by the Department of Education, and may subsequently be available as a DVD or a broadcast.

The closing date for applications is 31st October 2006  

Shortlisted companies will be asked to make a presentation based on the proposal in their application at the Community Relations Council on 16th November 2006.
