A consultation seminar on DARD’s draft spending plans will be held in Rural Community Network’s offices on Tuesday 1 February between 7 and 9pm.
The meeting will be addressed by DARD officials who will give further detail on the Department’s spending priorities and savings plans. Attendees will then have a chance to ask questions in a plenary session. The meeting is being held in partnership with NICVA who have organised a series of consultation meetings with all government departments. Budget Scrutiny Session
Tuesday 1 February from 10am to 1pm in RCN offices, Cookstown
This will be an interactive discussion scrutinising Departmental spending and savings plans looking specifically at how these might impact on rural communities and on rural poverty.
Representatives from NICVA, Access 2 Benefits, the Community Relations Council and others will be there to share their analysis and contribute to the discussions. Discussions at this session will help shape RCN’s response to the Budget consultation so come along and discuss the potential impact on rural communities and rural poverty.
