Unite against Hate volunteering opportunities

The Unite against Hate are looking for volunteers to join them at one of the following events:

  • Belfast Pride (LGBT festival), Saturday, 31 July from 1pm to 3pm, Custom House Square, Belfast
  • Fabrika Festival (Festival of Eastern Europe), Sunday, 1 August from 1pm to 5pm, Belfast City Hall
  • USNI Sport 2010 International Basketball Classic, 6 and/or 7 August from 5pm to 7pm, Odyssey Arena, Belfast
  • Belfast MELA (Northern Ireland’s largest multi-cultural festival), 29 August from 11am to 5pm, Botanic Gardens, Belfast

Interested?

You will need to:

  • Be fully aware and supportive of the Unite against Hate campaign
  • Be a good communicator
  • Hand out Unite merchandise
  • Wear Unite uniform (trendy t-shirt/bib)

The Unite against Hate campaign is a multi agency initiative, which highlights six forms of hate and prejudice including homophobia, racism, sectarianism and transphobia as well as prejudices based around a person’s faith or disability and challenges everyone to unite to stop it.
