New Perspectives offers participants the opportunity to meet some remarkable women from Ireland, the UK and around the world. 

Speakers include…

  • Senior Northern Ireland Official
  • Julia Kimbell, who will share her experiences as a deaf-blind woman
  • Bennie Attoh, Dundalk Democrat Columnist & Independent election candidate in Dundalk Urban Council and County Louth, presenting an “African Experience” in Ireland.
  • Fermanagh Shadow Youth Council
  • Local Perspectives – Tanya Hughes, Ballybeen Women's Centre Majella Murphy, South Armagh Rural Women's Network
  • Mrs. Felicity Huston – Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland

Workshops will include a session titled How Not to Speak in Public, facilitated by Leading Voice Coach Margaret McAliskey, Today's Feminism, facilitated by Eileen Fegan, QUB Lecturer within the area of Legal Theory & Education, Gender & Human Rights, Dialogue session with reps from NI political parties and Resolution 1325 presented by Kate McCullough, NIWEP, Northern Ireland Women's European Platform.
