ACHIEVING EFFECTIVE NEIGHBOURHOOD REGENERATION

How Can We Integrate the Social and the Physical?

How Best Do We Deliver Integrated Partnerships?

What Changes Are Needed Following RPA?

Friday 24 March 2006

Stormont Hotel, Belfast

  • Effective regeneration must be both physical and social
  • It has to be driven by genuine partnerships with capacity building and community networks
  • There has to be a common “we”, respecting diversity
  • Crime and drugs must be tackled with partnerships
  • How effective are current approaches?
  • Are they affected by the number of public bodies?
  • RPA will bring major changes with delegation to local government and community planning
  • How should we face the challenges to come?
  • What will be the impact on all stakeholders?

This CPPS seminar with key speakers from across these islands examines these and other issues and seeks answers for the future.
