Major conference: "What Shared Futures? – Local & European challenges in diversity & conflict management"

The University of Ulster's INCORE research centre is arranging a major conference on 23-24 March at the Radisson Hotel in Limavady, Northern Ireland, through one of its constituent units the Northern Ireland Centre for European Co-operation (NICEC).

The conference will combine thinking and policy approaches on citizenship, human rights and 'good relations'. It will examine approaches that will lead to more progress in Northern Ireland and other so-called 'divided societies' in Europe.  Major international and local speakers will be in attendance, and the conference will act as a meeting point for policy makers, practitioners and politicians. The event will include a discussion panel featuring the senior leadership of Northern Ireland's major political parties, and we intend to publish policy/practice issues papers based on speaker inputs and discussions during the day and a half programme.

Please see the attached agenda, conference description and details on workshop participants for further information.

If you are interested in attending, please contact George Sweeney at g.sweeney@ulster.ac.uk.  If you have any questions, please contact Elsje Fourie (02871375145 or e.fourie@ulster.ac.uk), who will be happy to help in any way she can.

Overnight accommodation on the 23rd will be covered for those attending both days.
