“What is the impact, locally, on the devolution of Policing and Justice powers: regarding dealing with the past”

08 March 2010

The Peace and Reconciliation Group would like to invite you to attend a seminar–Policing and Justice: regarding dealing with the past”

At The Junction, Bishop Street, L'Derry on Monday 26th  April 2010 at 11.00am – 1.00pm

Panel Chair:  Eamonn Deane, Holywell.

Panel:  Michael Doherty, Peace and Reconciliation Group, Maureen Hethrington,The Junction. Jim Roddy, City Centre Initiative and Chris Yates, Area Commander P.S.N.I.

As part of the Community Relations Week the Peace and Reconciliation Group are hosting a seminar discussion on the impact, locally, of the devolution of policing and justice powers, regarding dealing with the past.

Both of these issues have been widely portrayed as contentious but there has been little opportunity for the general public to have an input on how they impact on the local community.

This is an opportunity to become involved in a discussion with a panel of speakers who are from the city and work directly in the field of peace building and peace keeping who are quite prepared to share their views and answer questions from the general public.
