The Fuse of Peace Learning Together Diwali & Samhain HEROS Belfast Mela

Learning Together - Integrated Education practitioners from Northern Ireland and Jerusalem came into the Northern Visions studio last week to discuss the challenges of integrated education. It was also a chance to find out more about the Hand in Hand School in Jerusalem where children are taught through both Hebrew and Arabic. The children are witnesses to at least two points of view and dialogue in the classroom, presented by the two teachers in every class. Diwali & Samhain -  celebratory video of the Diwali and Samhain festival, held at Belfast City Hall. The event was organised by ArtsEkta and McCracken House... a celebration of the similarities in Irish and Indian cultures but includes many of the other ethnic minorities also. HERO's (Hockey, Education, Reaching Out Society) - which brings young people from Northern Ireland and children from across the border together to train and work as a team through ice hockey is now available to watch online.... click here to view
