Working in Partnership to Tackle Race Related Hate Crime

17 December 2009

The Indian Community Centre in collaboration with the Northern Ireland Policing Board (NIPB) would like to invite you to attend a conference in the Indian Community Centre, 86 Clifton Street, Belfast (near Carlisle Circus) on Monday 25 January 2010. A detailed programme is attached for your information. The programme begins with registration at 9.30 am and will finish by 1.00 pm followed by lunch.

This conference will be of interest to both statutory and community organisations as well as faith based groups and the law makers at local and national levels. The conference aims to explore possible avenues to tackling race related hate crimes, the roles and responsibilities of the relevant key stakeholders and adopting a multi agency approach.

A number of case studies will be presented by those who have been subjected to hate crime from within the Minority Ethnic communities to highlight the patterns, causes and consequences of racially motivated incidents.

Please respond to the email address or telephone number below highlighting any special needs.  All meals served inside the centre will be vegetarian.
