The Consoritum of Community Relations Council and Pobal are holding a conference: “LEARNING THE LESSONS, PLANNING FOR THE CHALLENGES AHEAD” in Spires Mall, Belfast, on Thursday 10th December 2009 as part of Theme 1.1 Building Positive Relations at the Local Level.

The conference has been designed to provide an opportunity for Council Staff and Partnership members to come together with Consortium staff and discuss the overall contribution and benefits to date of the Peace Partnerships. There will be opportunities to highlight and discuss issues that have arisen and begin to plan for the challenges for Phase 2, 2011 to 2013.

Jim Fitzpatrick, presenter of the BBC Politics Show will be chairing the event and there will be presentations from Dr Duncan Morrow, Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Community Relations Council, as well as selected Council Partnerships and a panel of speakers from SEUPB, Integrated Partnership (Dublin) and NILGA.
