Belfast City Council has opened the Small Grants element of its Peace III programme. This initial element of the programme seeks to support community based projects that ‘build positive relations at the local level’. The small grants are worth up to £25,000 and part of the funding can be used for employment costs, overheads – but mostly project activity costs.
The closing date of these grants will be Monday the 5th January 2009 with decisions made in early March. You can download the guidance notes and the application form (Part B) on the Council weblink below. Part A needs to be filled in on the SEUPB grants website: www.eugrants.org. You will have to register there and you will be given a unique project reference number – this number is required on Part B.
2. We will be holding a Peace III small grants clinic inGrosvenor House – Glengall Street this coming Monday, the 10th of November from 12.00 noon to 6.00pm to meet with anyone who is interested in this scheme and who might have any questions about their application. You are most welcome to come along and meet with the Good Relations staff who will be assessing the applications.
