Nominations are currently being sought for voluntary and
community sector representatives to sit on the Social Investment Fund Steering Groups.
The deadline for applications is 29th June 2012. OFMDFM Ministers will appoint a maximum of four voluntary and community representatives to each steering group. The Social Investment Fund (SIF) has been set up to deliver social change in Northern Ireland. It aims to reduce poverty, unemployment and physical dereliction in areas of need. SIF will be available until 2015 and has been allocated £80 million by the NI Executive. It will operate across nine social investment zones; each zone will have a Steering Group representing the business, political, statutory and voluntary and community sectors. Leading up to the deadline, the SIF Project Team is hosting a series of information sessions on the process, for further information on these and on the Social Investment Fund itself visit www.nidirect.gov.uk/the-social-investment-fund.
