Museum education staff will visit schools and facilitate a symbols workshop which will aim to help children understand various objects used by each of the main traditions in Northern Ireland. This is followed up by a visit to the Museum where each child will sculpt a symbol in clay which had meaning for them. The workshop will be offered to visitors on Sunday 3rd May.

Ian Malcolm a Protestant journalist, who is a fluent speaker of Irish, will relate his personal experiences of learning the language. He will also discuss the findings of his forthcoming book on young Protestants who learned Irish on a school programme.
